ɫƵ Science Scholar Amelia Muscott ’22 studies glaciers by analyzing lakebed sediments in Wyoming’s Teton Mountain Range.

Geology major Amelia Muscott '22 was named a 2021-22 ɫƵ Science Scholar and presented with a research grant funded by the Kenneth T. and Eileen L. Norris Foundation. Working with Assistant Professor of Geology Darren Larsen, Amelia's project, “Reconstructing glacial fluctuations and late Holocene hydroclimate variability in the western U.S. from alpine lake sediments,” is an extension of the work she did in summer 2020 analyzing sediments from Lake Solitude, a non-glacial lake in Wyoming’s Teton Mountain Range.
