On October 24, Professor Igor Logvinenko moderated a panel about the 2024 United States election that featured É«ÇéÊÓƵ faculty and former California State Assemblymember Mary Chung Hayashi.

Throughout the panel, Professor Caroline Held highlighted demographic barriers that Democratic candidate Kamala Harris faces and Professor S.K. Ritadhi contrasted GOP candidate Donald Trump’s isolationist foreign policy to Harris’ coalition building strategy. To conclude the event, Professor Isaac Hale and Mrs. Hayashi had an illuminating discussion about propositions on the California ballot and their broader implications in U.S. politics.
