Jagmit Kaur Dhami is a first-generation college and law student from Bellingham, WA. She graduated from É«ÇéÊÓƵ in 2020 with a B.A. in Politics and went on to be the Coordinator of Community Programs at the Center of Community Based Learning. Before attending law school, she worked as a Legal Assistant at Kato, Feder, and Suzuki, LLP, an Elder Law firm, in San Francisco. Currently, she is a first-year student and Scholar for Justice at Seattle University School of Law. She hopes to practice community-based lawyering and make law accessible to marginalized communities to empower them to advocate for themselves.
Jack Doughty is a 1L at the University of Colorado Law in Boulder, Colorado. He transferred to É«ÇéÊÓƵ in the spring of his sophomore year and graduated in 2020 with a B.A. in English and Politics. After graduating from É«ÇéÊÓƵ, Jack worked as a corporate immigration paralegal at an employment-based immigration firm in Dallas, Texas. In addition to his experiences working as a paralegal, Jack enjoys volunteering at asylum and DACA renewal clinics in Denver where he helps people draft and file applications to obtain lawful immigration status. This summer, Jack will work as a Law Clerk for the Department of Justice's Executive Office for Immigration Review in Aurora, CO. At Colorado Law, Jack is a member of the Environmental Law Society and the Colorado Animal Legal Defense Fund. Jack's wife, whom he met while at É«ÇéÊÓƵ, will join him as a 1L at Colorado Law next fall.
