“please bring back ice cream scoops and milkshakes to the cooler!”

The Tiger Cooler has struggled to maintain a consistent workforce, including student staff who serve at the coffee counter. Serving ice cream and milkshakes is very labor intensive. Rather than offering a service that might often be curtailed, we are focusing instead on providing our most basic services. With a more stable workforce, perhaps the Tiger Cooler will explore completely new ideas for the coffee counter.

“Would it be possible to have the waffle makers on the weekends?”

The waffle makers are now available on the weekends. We hope that you are enjoying them. 

“Please sell Arizona Green Tea in the MP or the Cooler! They are bought quickly from the vending machines and I think it would be popular in the dining hall.”

Right now, our current vendors do not offer Arizona teas.

“There should be kewpie mayo as a condiment in the dining hall. it would taste really good with the grilled salmon and sriracha. thank you!”

Look for this next semester.

“I would love if there was carnitas on the menu more, they are the best thing to be produced and they are offered like once a semester. I also really love the enchiladas, Peruvian chicken, and mashed potatoes. In the pre packaged items, I miss the chobani protein yoghurt drinks and propel.”

There are carnitas served as part of our rotating menus in the MP. Please keep an eye out for them. We will try and have them more often. Enchiladas, Peruvian style chicken are also served regularly. We have mashed potatoes served daily at the grill as well as side dishes for certain meals offered. Please feel free to ask for a side at any station that is serving them.

“The miso soup and Vietnamese turkey bowl from yesterday were amazing! Please make those again.”

Thank you for the feedback! We will be serving these items in the near future as part of our rotating menus. Please keep a lookout on our website for the weekly menus.

“I know a lot of students love the Nugo Slim bars (myself included!) but that variety is often out of stock. If there could be more Nugo Slim bars available that would be great! Thank you so much!”

Since the pandemic, Nugo has been struggling to keep up with demand.  We order quite a few of all the flavors and have been shorted every time.  We will continue to order in hopes they can catch up.

Tiger Cooler - “Tomato soup in the cooler would be so lovely especially with grilled cheese!!!”

We agree that soup and sandwiches go well together. However, the Tiger Cooler does not have the equipment necessary to either prepare or hold/serve soup. Please enjoy the fresh soups offered at the Marketplace daily.

“Please bring back the poke bowl (and with imitation crab as a topping, if possible). The thai basil chicken with eggplant is also amazing. I'm excited for the Polynesian chicken and ceviche this week!”

If you are looking for something immediately, the Tiger Cooler offers sushi bowls daily which alternate between spicy salmon or spicy tuna. While traditional poke bowls were very popular, our supplier had to change the makeup of the bowls to help keep cost more reasonable.

Tiger Cooler - “When you make buffalo chicken sandwiches or wraps could you put blue cheese or blue cheese dressing on it?”

Indeed, buffalo chicken can traditionally be prepared using either ranch or blue cheese dressing. At the Tiger Cooler, the ranch dressing has proven to be more popular and has multiple applications beyond just buffalo chicken.

“The cinnamon plantains are amazing! Please keep making those on the weekends. Also, the ceviche on friday for lunch should be a regular. It's fantastic.”

“Lara bars, smaller hummus containers/portions, more salads without cheese or cheese in a separate container”

Lara bars did not sell well in the past. 
We will have smaller containers of hummus available beginning 4/30/23. When a Specialty Salad contains cheese, we always offer some without it and label them as such. We will increase production of those without cheese.

“I think that the GF adjustments for the stir fry and the pasta to order should be ready when ppl come up. After waiting 30 minutes in line i shouldn’t have to wait another 10+ minutes. It can’t be that hard. I know that sometimes gf pasta is kept hot in the thing behind the counter. I would j want that every time. Thank you!”

Can you please provide more information? For the stir fry, the gluten free option for the noodles is rice and rice is always readily available without an extra wait time. As for pasta, we try to hold a small amount in the warmer so that there isn't a longer wait time but the gluten free pasta doesn’t hold well and begins to break down shortly after being cooked. 

“The Chimmichurri Chicken and Eggplant was really good. Please bring it back! The Chimmichurri sauce would go really well as a dressing option in the salad bar. Also please bring back the thai basil chicken and eggplant.”

Thank you for the positive feedback! Although delicious, chimmichurri is too labor intensive to have on the salad bar regularly but perhaps we can try it as a monthly addition.

“Can we please get the peanut butter, peanut butter chocolate, and peach flavored Mush overnight oats? The flavors we get are so popular, and I'd love to try the other ones.”

We are speaking to our vendors but as of right now they do not carry the specific flavors you have requested.

“Orders from Bagel & Slice should go through our meal plan dollars, not just vending and bengal bucks. Having the only meal plan options be vending, which is only around $50 for the whole semester, defeats the purpose of us being able to purchase an off campus option. Please implement this change for next year! I'm certain it would be very popular”

Your meal plan is designed with a fixed allotment of dollars that can be used with off-campus partners. The rest of the meal plan funds remain on campus to maintain, improve, and enhance the campus dining experience. Next semester we are going to increase the vending amounts slightly, be on the look out for this increase. 

“Please have the chickpea pita wraps again! They were really good! Honestly, I think a build your own pita station would be great instead of the potato bar sometimes. It would be much more nutritionally balanced and veggie forward”

We’ll be trying to add a pita station to our rotating menu. Please keep a lookout for it next week. Hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for the feedback. We’re constantly trying new items and testing new recipes. Happy to hear this was enjoyed. We’ll try and add this to our menus for the future.
