The 2025 program begins on Tuesday, May 27, and ends on Friday, August 1, 2025. The annual all-day SRP conference is scheduled for Wednesday, July 30.
- Argonaut Summer Research Fellowship [URC & English Department]

The Argonaut Summer Research Fellowship is awarded each year to a student in creative writing, who will work closely with the English department’s Writer-in-Residence on a creative writing project of their own design.
Eligibility: Preference is given first to English Majors/Minors and Creative Writing concentrators.
Additional Requirements: Students must submit a full SRP application by the deadline, and additionally submit a writing sample of up to 20 pages of fiction or creative nonfiction, or up to 10 poems.

- Arnston Memorial Award Fellowship [URC & Writing Programs]

The Arnston Memorial Award Fellowship provides study awards to students working in any discipline to conduct faculty-mentored independent research involving essay writing as part of the College’s 10-week Summer Research Program.
Eligibility: Research must concern a significant dimension of the human condition, the state of human culture and community; or, any significant dimension of the challenges faced today by efforts to cultivate and enhance justice, community, and human flourishing.

- Billington Summer Research Fellowship in U.S. History [History Department]

The Billington Summer Research Fellowship in U.S. History provides support for students conducting archival/primary source research in U.S. History to participate in the ten-week Summer Research Program.
Eligibility: History majors who have completed their junior year will be given some preference in the process. American Studies majors are also encouraged to apply.

The Gerken Fellowship provides a stipend for full time summer research on a public policy issue of importance to Los Angeles or the United States for (1) financial support for 10-weeks of on-campus summer housing, or (2) funds for research related travel.
Eligibility: Juniors majoring in Diplomacy & World Affairs, Economics, Politics, or Urban and Environmental Policy.

The Research Early Access Program places students with faculty in participating STEM departments in the 10-week Summer Research Program.
Eligibility: Rising sophomores. Preference is given to given to students who are the first in their families to attend college, and to students historically underrepresented in the STEM fields (i.e. - BIPOC students; Women).

The Roberts Endowed Research Fellowship in Natural Sciences provides support for students conducting original research in the natural sciences through the URC’s Summer Research Program.
Eligibility: Preference is given to, but not limited to, students engaging in research associated with the Anderson Environmental Science Center at the Moore Laboratory of Zoology.

The highly competitive Science Scholars Fellowships provide a total of $15,000 in research support through the Junior and Senior years for students in STEM.
Eligibility: Juniors not studying abroad in their Spring semester, majoring in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, cognitive science, computer science, geology, kinesiology, mathematics, physics, or psychology (neuroscience emphasis).

The Undergraduate Research Fellowship for Corporate Responsibility provides study awards to students pursuing research related to corporate responsibility and socially responsible investing to conduct faculty-mentored independent research as part of the College’s 10-week Summer Research Program.
Eligibility: Open to all continuing students at the College working on projects in the relevant area.
