10:03 p.m. Power has now been fully restored to all buildings on campus.

Residential Education has notified all students in the last four residence halls affected by the outage of the good news. We are grateful to the staff in Facilities Management whose tireless efforts made this result possible.

3:29 p.m.

Thanks to hard work of Facilities Management, power has been restored to all but five of the buildings affected by last night鈥檚 power outage.

All of those restored buildings should be fully operational for anyone expecting to work on campus tomorrow. The five buildings still without power are BioScience, Stewie, Pauley, Braun and E. Norris. We expect that power to these five will be restored by midnight. Residential Education is in touch with affected students in the four remaining res halls without power and will be offering alternative campus housing arrangements for those who want them.

Thanks again for your patience as we work to resolve this situation. We will provide an additional update later this evening.

9:29 a.m.

Facilities staff is working hard to address the partial campus power outage that continues to affect several academic buildings and all residence halls except Berkus and Newcomb.

As a result of the outage, the buildings listed below do not have power, email or Internet service. Employees in those offices should not come to campus for work today. If you鈥檝e already arrived on campus, please return home for the day.

There are currently 135 students living on campus. Residence Education and Housing Services is in touch with all those affected by the outage and is taking appropriate steps to make sure they have access to warm, safe, connected spaces. Johnson Student Center is not affected by the outage and will continue to provide food service. The Library, which also has power, is scheduled to open at 10 a.m. Emergency generators are operating to ensure that sensitive labs in BioScience, Moore Lab, Norris Chemistry, and Hameetman Science Center are not affected by the outage.

We don鈥檛 yet know how long the outage will last. We hope to have a better idea by early this afternoon, when we will provide another update. We will continue to provide regular updates until power is restored.<

Thank you all for your patience and understanding as we mobilize all our resources to address this situation as quickly as possible.

7:23 a.m.

At around 9 p.m. Monday night, multiple buildings on campus lost power due to an electrical equipment failure.

Facilities Management has been working since last night to address the issue. As a result of the outage, the buildings listed below do not have power and employees in those offices should not come to campus for work today. In addition, network/wireless connectivity has been impacted in these and other locations across campus.

As of this morning, there is not a specific timetable as to when power will be restored to the impacted buildings. We will keep the community (including any students in impacted residence halls) updated as we work to address this issue and return electrical service to the entire campus.
